Use extracted colors with confidence

A dominant palette is a starting point, not an automatic accessibility guarantee. Each swatch shows whether black or white text gives stronger contrast, while exports keep color values consistent across design and development.

Frequently asked questions

Why might two colors look similar?

Photos often contain smooth gradients and related shades. The extractor filters very close clusters, but a detailed image can still produce a nuanced palette.

Are transparent pixels included?

Fully and mostly transparent pixels are ignored so invisible areas do not distort the result.

Does the palette contain every image color?

No. It summarizes thousands or millions of pixels into a small group of representative dominant colors.

Can I use these colors for accessible text?

Use the suggested black-or-white foreground as a quick guide, then test complete component states against WCAG requirements.
