Each PDF page is rendered as one image on a PowerPoint slide. You can move, resize or annotate that image, but its original text and graphics are not separate editable objects.

Will the presentation look like the PDF?

Image-based slides preserve page appearance closely. Contain mode avoids cropping while Fill mode may crop edges to cover the slide.

Can I edit the original PDF text in PowerPoint?

No. Each slide contains one rendered page image. You can add new PowerPoint content on top, but the original page elements are not separated.

Which slide ratio should I choose?

Use Match first page for document-like slides, 16:9 for modern screens, or 4:3 for older projectors and traditional presentations.

Why are there borders around some pages?

Contain mode preserves the full page. If page and slide ratios differ, the chosen background remains visible around the page.

Can I convert an encrypted PDF?

Yes, when you provide its correct current open password.

Why can a large conversion be rejected?

The server limits slides and total rendered pixels to prevent memory exhaustion. Select fewer pages or a lower rendering quality.
