Frequently asked questions
Will changing the title change text on the first page?
No. Metadata is document-level information and does not rewrite visible page text.
Are fields I cannot see preserved?
The worker retains existing information-dictionary entries and updates only the six displayed standard fields.
Does Clear all six fully anonymize a PDF?
No. Other metadata stores, annotations, attachments or revision artifacts may remain. Use a dedicated sanitization workflow for sensitive documents.
Why do creation dates look unusual?
PDF dates are commonly stored in a compact format beginning with D:. The editor shows a simplified date when it can parse one.
Can I edit a password-protected PDF?
