What is preserved?
- All source pages in the selected order
- Page dimensions, orientation and page content
- Document metadata from the first PDF where available
- Compatible bookmark outlines when enabled
What may need review?
- Forms with identical field names across different PDFs
- Bookmarks pointing to unusual external destinations
- Digital signatures, which generally do not remain valid after merging
- Page-number labels that depend on the original document position
Frequently asked questions
Can I add more files after the first selection?
Yes. The Add more PDFs control appends the newly selected files to the existing queue.
Can I merge encrypted PDFs?
Yes. Each row has an optional password field, so source PDFs can use different open passwords.
Will existing digital signatures remain valid?
Usually not. Merging changes the document structure and therefore invalidates cryptographic signatures on the original files.
How are duplicate files handled?
The interface detects files with the same name, size and modification time and avoids adding the same selection twice accidentally.
Are my files retained?
The server uses uniquely named temporary files and removes inputs and output after the response finishes, including cleanup after errors.
