Frequently asked questions

Why did the tool find no matches?

The PDF may be scanned, the text may use unusual encoding, the phrase may cross line boundaries, or the chosen page range may exclude it.

Is the search case-sensitive?

No. Matching is case-insensitive so “Invoice” and “invoice” are treated alike.

Can I use several colours in one run?

One colour is applied per run. Download the result and process it again to add another search phrase or colour.

Will links and form fields still work?

Highlights are PDF annotations and normally preserve existing content. Always verify important documents after processing.

Does this permanently alter my original?

No. Your browser downloads a separate highlighted PDF; the source file on your device is unchanged.
