Which image format should I use?
- JPEG: best for photographs and smaller files. Transparent areas use your selected background.
- PNG: best for logos, screenshots and transparency. Quality control does not apply.
- WebP: an efficient choice for websites, often smaller than JPEG or PNG at similar visual quality.
Crop and resize tips
- Crop first, then choose output dimensions so the size lock follows the selected frame.
- Avoid extreme enlargement: it adds pixels but cannot recreate missing detail.
- Use Photo smoothing for portraits, Graphic for UI artwork, and Pixel art for sprites.
- For Instagram portrait posts, try 1080 × 1350; for stories, use 1080 × 1920.

Are my images uploaded?
No. The image is decoded, edited and exported locally by your browser.
Does cropping reduce image quality?
Cropping only removes pixels outside the frame. Quality changes happen when you resize or use lossy JPEG/WebP compression.
Why can’t very large outputs be exported?
Browsers have memory and canvas limits. ZeeSharp caps output at 16,384 pixels per side and 64 megapixels to reduce crashes.
Can I preserve transparency?
Yes—export as PNG or WebP. JPEG has no transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with the chosen background color.
